A moment of true Gratitude!

I have had the most lovely morning.

I awoke early and read an amazing book that I am TRULY grateful to have "accidentally" stumbled across....

I enjoyed a divine fair-trade, organic, home-plunged long black (ok, 2!) with my daily "nut" fix (a handful of raw, unsalted Brazil nuts, Cashews and Almonds) mmmmmmmmm!

I then took myself out for a very leisurely paced walk, gazing at the gorgeous blue sky and fluffy white clouds.....dreamy days! :)

As I walked I listened to an INCREDIBLE tele-class call that I missed last week.....LOVING this course....again, guided....!

On my return walk home I stopped and talked to a brilliant friend that I have acquired simply by being me and being open when shopping at a local Organic store some time back. We share a love of GOOD ORGANIC coffee and LIFE! :)

I then rang a dear family member who has very recently lost her beloved husband to cancer....

I returned home feeling ENRICHED in SO MANY ways...and yes, GRATEFUL...!

I had a moment of TRUE wonder, thanks and JOY for the life that is mine and I simply wanted to put it out there... :)

In particular I am thinking of all those I treasure who are my family, or just about and who make my life feel so utterly FULL and DIVINE! :) I am so lucky that I have MANY who fit this category....

But today Mam (my nan), I am holding a special thought and place for you....! (by the way, no this is not the family member who has lost her husband! BJ (her partner) is alive, well and looking after the world as always! ;p)

I LOVE YOU DEARLY Mam! xooxox

What about you? What has been GREAT about your day so far?

What and whom are you thankful for?

Look forward to hearing! :)

LOTS OF LOVE!

Celebrating YOU! xo

This is just a special post to celebrate and recognise the greatness in each one of you!

I absolutely LOVE people and the human spirit and in the past few days I have had more evidence than ever of the good within us all!

I would really like to express my thanks and GRATITUDE to a few special souls out there who have been SO helpful and really gone out of their way to help a girl in a pickle!! :)

To all the lovely and incredibly generous people who helped me, for a GOOD hour, to try and find my LOST car key ON THE BEACH! THANK YOU!

Adrian, Jo and Paul and your LOVELY boys, and the other beautiful woman who I am afraid I did not get your name....THANK YOU!!!

You absolutely did NOT have to help me and I felt terrible for being a PAIN on your Friday evening!!!

Thank you, thank you again!

To fill in everyone else...I was at Noosa Hastings Street, after a walk and decided to go for a QUICK dip....taking ONLY my car key, towel, bikini's (obviously!), thongs and cap...I dropped it all on the sand and ran into the water...it was lovely and refreshing, yet upon hearing the warning about stingers I decided it was not the day to spend longer in here unfortunately...so I got out, went back to my towel and grabbed it gratefully...(it was getting chilly!)

Now...was my key there then...? I am not sure...I do know I would have shaken my towel out REALLY well to get rid of the sand..but anyone with an electronic key knows they are BIG and surely you would notice that flinging out somewhere..???

I quickly moved on up the beach to the shower, placing my stuff (?key included), on the rock wall nearby....yep, YUM! refreshing shower..now to allow 5 mins to dry before getting back into the car and onto home...

Laying down peacefully in a nice grassy spot I relaxed for a good 5 mins...then I got up to walk back and realised...."Where is my KEY?!?!!"

Oh no......surely it'll be EASY to find!!!

Anyway...NO it wasn't and NO I didn't find it...even with the help of my angels...

So without a PHONE, or even knowing my partners mobile number (note to self..MEMORISE this! I now have!) I was well and truly stranded. I had not let Brad know where I was- as the dip was a random idea after a BIG walk....My home keys were in the car... yeah..it really was a tricky situation!!

But never fear...Adrian offered a lift to my home to get my spare key- thank you Adrian.

As a girl can never be too careful however, and Adrian NOTHING personal to you..I just have to follow mum's orders about never getting into the car with a man I don't know :) I took up Jo's offer to take me home :)

Anyway, long story short- I got home, Brad was home (thank goodness), I got back to my car and gratefully drove it home!

Now there is just the mystery of the missing key....

And the fun- and costly part- of arranging a spare....! That's what you get for choosing a VW!!!! :)

Thank you again to my Angels!

Another special person I'd LOVE to acknowledge....

Bev at the Mooloolaba Australia Post...THANK YOU! You absolutely did NOT have to be SO generous the other day, as it was clearly MY error...however your gesture REALLY DID make my day and was another CLEAR example of how WONDERFUL people are! Thank you Bev! You are an Angel! :)

Oh! And to the guy on the bike in Mooloolaba the other day who made me LAUGH simply by being FUN and having a helicopter Santa on his helmet! THANK YOU!!! You really did give me a giggle, and made me think how wonderful it is when people JUST BE and EXPRESS THEMSELVES :) Thank you funny one! xo

To leave you with something that really sums up the tone of this post...from my wonderful friend Carina's Deck of Joyful Expectancy Oracle Cards (see them at www.joyfulexpectancy.com)-

"COMMUNITY

There are people around you who are united in their desire to love you and to assist you. Be willing to accept their encouragement and their support"

This really is SO true and so often I see and know of those amazing souls who constantly GIVE....they give so much of themselves and they forget to RECEIVE!!

The other woman on the beach (who's name I'm SO sorry I did not get) reminded me that it gives JOY to others to simply offer a helping hand when it's needed....

We often try to do everything ourselves and forget that by ALLOWING others to assist, we are GIVING them a gift and allowing them to feel special and needed..

So, as Carina advises in her cards....
-we ALL have a reservoir of kindness and protection available within the community within which we belong

-you DO NOT need to carry your burdens alone and unaided

-how do YOU feel about receiving help from others?

-do you feel it is easier to GIVE rather than RECEIVE?

-identify your needs and recognise your WORTHINESS to receive

-make a commitment to ask for what you require and then allow your community to help you...

Now...remember...your community MAY NOT be united by their GEOGRAPHICAL location...yet they are UNITED by their willingness to be of service to you....this may include your family and close friends...the neighbour who looks after your garden while you are away...

Look around and realise just how many people want to HELP and support you...

All you need to do is ASK...

Sometimes, all you need to do is RECEIVE....

Thank you again to my angels....

And to those countless one's out there who struggle to receive....remember IT IS A GIFT for those who get SO MUCH pleasure out of helping..

This is a GREAT area in life to take check on and see if there is a BALANCE between GIVING and RECEIVING :)

Love to you all!

mwah! xoxo

Washing the dishes

"As I stood at the sink washing the dishes, I delightedly captured myself simply BEING.

I was not an hour ahead, I was not an hour behind....I was here....exactly in the moment, simply enjoying the duty of washing dishes...

I took a moment to glance out the window and feel true appreciation of where I was...at home....peaceful, quiet, calm....the grass outside so luscious and green...the creeper on the fence equally lush, however sprouting gorgeous vibrant yellow flowers....

I adoringly thought of my partner and how great a team we are...superbly and dynamically complimentary...fabulous!

I would not want to be anywhere but here...

Here is perfect....here is a gift...

I am grateful.....thank you!"

I enjoyed the simplicity of this excerpt and thought how magnificently it illustrated the principles in one of my favourite books, "The 5 Minute Meditator"

You can find peace, space, beauty and calm in simple, even menial tasks...all you need to do is look at them differently and see the opportunities there are to create tranquility :)

To your dish washing! :)

AM Happy Start Questions

For quite some time now I have set up a morning routine that involves me creating my own little bliss bubble.

Over many years of coaching and being coached I have learned very well the incredible importance of how we start our day. Not only is it important to eat breakfast to signal the end of a fast to the body's metabolism, it is vitally important to set up, or simply reinforce the "mental framework" and consciousness with which enter the world each new morning.

To wake up in a fog and not consciously clear the air is like getting into your motor vehicle and driving with an iced up windscreen; incredibly suicidle- and ultimately, won't get you far.

If you sometimes feel like you are in your own groundhog day, in other words- stuck, stagnant, going through the motions, living the same dull life day after day, lacking motivation, energy and passion- then perhaps there is some fog in need of clearing?

I have an easy technique that I myself use each and every morning, and that I teach to all of my clients. Without exception, I can tell you that it creates an incredible shift in the lives of those who practice it daily AND it is a practice that people come to LOVE!

Many wise people say that the quality of our questions determines the quality of our lives. Here are some powerful questions to start your day that can clear any fog, and set up a positive framework and present consciousness with which to enter the world each and every day.

The idea is to do them FIRST thing upon awakening so that you can create a "bliss bubble" around yourself which can "bounce off" negative energy, disempowering perspectives and protect you in a "buffer" of positive and present awareness.

Start every morning with the following 3 or 4 Happy Start Questions and see what changes for you:

1) What am I happy and grateful for today?

2) What do I love/like/admire/appreciate about myself more than I did yesterday?

3) What do I love/like/admire/appreciate about (partner) more than I did yesterday?

4) Knowing that my goals are a reality, what 3 actions will I take today to manifest them into my life?

Allow yourself TIME to answer these genuinely and to really pay attention and find answers that FEEL TRUE for you.

It can take some practice to get this, as any new habit, rolling in a momentus fashion. That is fine. Be patient and simply keep practicing each day. Soon enough, you will find yourself on a roll and things will begin to change.

The key however is truth, as for these positive vibrations to ripple far and wide they must be supported with emotion. Emotions are the turbo charges to creating the reality you experience around you- think about that.

Take responsibility to ensure that the thoughts you are turbo charging everyday are the ones you want to shape your life.

Are you creating what you want?

Practice asking the right questions, planting the right seeds (answers/thoughts) and adding the right fertiliser (emotions) and just see how your garden grows :)

What are you grateful for today?

I LOVE to start my day thinking about what I am grateful for and what things I will do in my day to create the life I love.

It is one thing that has completely changed the way I see everything- plenty of practice I do admit :)

Imagine the energy we can create by sharing with each other what we are grateful for :)

Ok, so me :

Today I am SO happy and grateful that I had a brilliant run into Noosa National park, that the sun is glorious and shining, that I have had a great morning writing, that I have eaten a MASSIVE and YUMMY breakky of salmon, fruit, egg and vegies (hehe) AND a delicious Rainforest Organic plunger coffee :) Seriously! Life is BLISS!!! mmmmm mmmm :)

What about you guys? Cannot wait to hear! :)

Are you BUT-ting out your gratitude?

Having been on a journey of self-discovery for quite some time now, (one I plan to continue forever! :) ), I have developed a true appreciation for how differently we can feel about life, ourselves, others and any situation or moment, simply by changing our focus.

We hear over and over that what we focus on is what shows up in our lives.

People say "yeah, yeah, I know that and I'm so grateful, I really am BUT..."

OOPS!!! I have learnt that that word, "but", effectively DELETES EVERYTHING you say before it!

Think about that..

"Babe, does my butt look big in these jeans?"

"No baby, not at all BUT...."

At that point you tune out and whatever is said next, despite how complimentary, recovering, or pleasing it may be...we are gone...all we hear and process in our mind is, "my bum looks fat in these jeans"!

See where I am going? :)

If you cannot relate to this example, think of others...

"Do you like dinner?"
"Oh yes its great BUT...." Again instant zone out! Focus is completely on the idea they DON'T like dinner

There are plenty of others to consider

So....really think about that word....pay attention to how often you say it and notice what you are effectively DELETING when you are being "grateful"...

Are you REALLY in full appreciation....or are you allowing BUT's to send a completely opposing message out to the universe...?

TRUE appreciation and gratitude has no BUTS...anywhere! Not spoken, not thought, not even in existence in our sub-conscious…

There is simply COMPLETE acceptance of ALL that is...

The good, the bad, the ugly...

After all, those things become so only after we define them as such…

Essentially nothing is anything...it just is…

Until next time...have fun with your BUTs ;p

Cheers! xoxo
